I have to admit that some of the "solutions" on this site have crossed my mind.
There I Fixed It

Came up with a nice little concoction.

2 parts Ketel One Vodka, 1 part Pama (Pomegranate Liquor) and 3 parts Orangina. It looks a bit off but tastes delicious.

I am DJing tonight at Davey's Uptown. So, when you done blowing stuff up come over and relax with some drinks.

The weather outside really makes me think I need to go camping. Instead I think I will alleviate my desire for difficult environments with an experimental set of sounds at Davey's tonight. I will be playing tunes by the likes of Current 93, Nurse With Wound and Psychic TV with DJ Big Brother at Davey's tonight. See you there.

This year is my 20 year class reunion. I am still very much undecided about going. Since most of the people I would like to see are younger/older than me or went to another school it is not as compelling. But today I had a mini-reunion.

Sometimes I am amazed by the movies that never made it to DVD. Like a childhood favorite of mine The Incredible Shrinking Woman. With all it paranoia involving Corporate America and chemicals. Somehow it ended up playing on late night HBO. Maybe I will have to pick up the VHS tape.

The weather is so nice. Went for a walk with the family around the Plaza. I thought it would be some cheap entertainment. But alas, the Better Cheddar was still open. Now I got some Triple Cream Cambozola, some Italian Truffle Cheese, Goose Pate and some awesome chocolates. MMMmmmmm. I just have to try and not eat it all in one night. The truffle cheese is my new favorite.

Bad movies, good friends ... my house tonight.

I will be DJing at Davey's Uptown Saturday night from 10 p.m. to Midnight. I will be followed up by DJ Big Brother. Monday will be your chance to hear the regular installment of One Eyed Jacks with DJ Troy & DJ Ilya. You are invited.

Went to the TG show last night with my brother, infraredwoman and ammutbite. It was pretty freakin' awesome to see them. They played most of my favorites. Opened with Very Friendly. They also played Persuasion, What A Day, Something Came Over Me, Hamburger Lady and Almost A Kiss. The set was ended with an amazing version of Discipline. The songs had been "updated" somewhat with some heavy electronic kick drums. But they still retained the original spirit. I wished they would have played Zyklon B or Slug Bait or maybe United. But not really that big of a deal.

Of course Genesis' new look was a topic of discussion. We decided he resembled the Janice character from the Muppet Show.

Despite computer issues and people backing out at the last minute we still managed to entertain.

After my laptop had the little cat incident the firewire bus no longer would power things. This put a major kink in my DJ setup. I went through the usual trouble shooting steps at home and determined that it was the laptop. So Wednesday I took my laptop to the Apple store a few blocks from my house. The guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable. We determined that yes the laptop did need repair paid for by my AppleCare extended warranty. Since the firewire bus is soldered onto the logic board they were just going to replace the it. No, I did not say anything about a glass of water. He apologized that they were a little backed up and that it would be 3-5 days before I got my laptop back. I got a call today, Saturday, saying my laptop was ready and that if I could not get there because of the weather that they would be open on Sunday. My laptop had a $500-$700 part replace with out having to sit on a phone, mail something in or anything. I did have to hang out and surf the internet for about 20 minutes before they got to my genius bar appoint. Painless.
