It was pretty freakin' awesome to see them. They played most of my favorites. Opened with Very Friendly. They also played Persuasion, What A Day, Something Came Over Me, Hamburger Lady and Almost A Kiss. The set was ended with an amazing version of Discipline. The songs had been "updated" somewhat with some heavy electronic kick drums. But they still retained the original spirit. I wished they would have played Zyklon B or Slug Bait or maybe United. But not really that big of a deal.<br /><br />Of course Genesis' new look was a topic of discussion. This put a major kink in my DJ setup. I went through the usual trouble shooting steps at home and determined that it was the laptop. So Wednesday I took my laptop to the Apple store a few blocks from my house. The guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable. We determined that yes the laptop did need repair paid for by my AppleCare extended warranty. Since the firewire bus is soldered onto the logic board they were just going to replace the it. No, I did not say anything about a glass of water. He apologized that they were a little backed up and that it would be 3-5 days before I got my laptop back. I got a call today, Saturday, saying my laptop was ready and that if I could not get there because of the weather that they would be open on Sunday. My laptop had a $500-$700 part replace with out having to sit on a phone, mail something in or anything. I did have to hang out and surf the internet for about 20 minutes before they got to my genius bar appoint.
